Definitely beating the league leaders last week and being able to see how much we’ve all imporved.
If you could be one person on the team for a day who would it be and why?
Patricia Baratu… would love to know what it’s like to be made of steel.
One fact you’ve learned about a player on your team?
That I’ve coached some of my team mates children before!!
Most embarrassing memory on the basketball court.
By far crossing the line in the lineup before a free throw is actually taken… I do this way too much!
Favourite basketball player/a player you look up to or admire.
Would definitely have to be my dad Eddie, his attitude and passion for the sport as a player and a coach is amazing and is something I really admire and am so glad I have him around 🙂 (his 3 pointers are alright too)

Abby she is a little fighter and never gives up!Â

Elizabeth been a post and been able to bring up the ball when needed

When going on a lay up On a fast break in oblates “left hand” and bloody missing.

I have to say Georgina McKenna for never giving up and always fighting for the ball and on defence, alway did and always will look up to her! Terry Staunton for getting 8 – 3 pointers in a Game just Amazing and Gerry Farrell for the amazing coaching he does!

Winning against Tridents at home. It felt like everything came together for that match & all our hard work in training paid off.Â

Cisca, I’ve always wanted to be taller.Â

Cisca as she’s so strong and always grabbing rebounds

In the first training session I was blown away by the support and encouragement of the other players. Great positivity!
If you could be one person on the team for a day who would it be and why?
IÂ would love to be able to fly down the court like Abbie and do those fast breaks!Â

Cisca has not actually aged a day since her 17year old team photo….

I truly admire our U17 team who started this year with 7 knowing it would be hard , and who have shown up and trained hard with great spirit, they are amazing!

What is your favourite memory with the team?
Winning semi-final of the cup away.
If you could be one person on the team for a day who would it be and why?
There are many skilled women in our Sen5 OBC army. However I would like to thank: Lynn McLoughlin who I met through my sons (U11 & dynamites) and who always teasing me to come and play although we didn’t know each other very well and also our coach(Terry) for his awesome coaching skills and is patience!

Dennis Rodman(his defence), Anthony Davis (post moves) and Kobe Bryant for his unbelievable talent and his huge support into WNBA.

Most embarrassing memory on the basketball court.
I was messing and dancing in training and someone threw the ball and hit me in the head (it wasn’t that embarrassing we all just laughed)Â

I always looked up to Kobe. He was my favourite player.

Probably thinking I was on offence and let my player just go right past me and copping on that I should’ve been playing defence and Terry just laughing at me

 Karen Staunton because even after having kids she’s still able to do everything! She’s fitter than I’ll ever be and is still an amazing player.

I can’t think of anything really embarrassing that happened to me but probably just missing  an open lay-up in a game.

Lebron James because he is one of the best basketball players and is so skilled.

Amy Freeman leases aeroplanes for a living.

Favourite basketball player/a player you look up to or admire
Not a player but I get a lot of inspirations from Fr.Patsy – seeing how happy he gets when we do well is what fuels me and knowing how passionate he is about our club makes the tough times worth all the effort. He is just a great man in my eyes.
Clyde Drexler was my favourite NBA player and I’ve coached so many wonderful players over the years that to name one would be unfair but my beautiful wife Karen is in my top 3 and gets a mention for allowing me to put so much of my time into my coaching and never complains!
